Overview
Anhui Xinfulong's Isostatic Pressed Flared PTFE Pipes are engineered for high-purity and corrosive fluid handling applications where connection integrity is as critical as chemical resistance. Manufactured using advanced isostatic pressing technology — the gold standard for critical chemical service — our pipes feature precision-formed flared ends that provide reliable, leak-free flange connections while maintaining the exceptional purity and corrosion resistance of virgin PTFE.
The isostatic pressing process applies uniform hydrostatic pressure (100–300 MPa) from all directions via liquid or gas media, producing a completely voidless, homogeneous material structure. This results in superior density, uniform wall thickness, and isotropic mechanical properties that conventional molding or extrusion methods cannot achieve. The flared ends are formed by heating and compressing the PTFE against the pipe flange face, creating a full-face seal that protects the metal flange from corrosive media.
Key Features
Superior Isostatic Pressing Quality
-
Homogeneous, voidless material structure with isotropic physical properties-
-
Uniform wall thickness eliminates weak points, pressure resistance issues, and PTFE cracking caused by thickness deviations
-
Higher density and lower permeability compared to conventionally molded or extruded PTFE
-
Seamless construction — no welded joints, no extrusion lines, no potential failure points
Precision-Formed Flared Ends
-
PTFE is heated and compressed against the pipe flange face to form a full-face flare
-
Creates a tight, leak-proof seal when metallic bolts compress two flared edges
-
Protects the metal flange face from corrosive media contact
-
Eliminates crevices where contamination or corrosion could initiate
Exceptional Chemical Resistance
-
Inert to virtually all chemicals, including concentrated acids, alkalis, organic solvents, strong oxidants, and toxic or flammable chemicals-
-
Outstanding resistance to permeation — isostatic compression achieves the lowest permeation rates
-
Withstands temperatures from -70°C to +260°C
Ultra-High Purity
-
100% virgin PTFE resin — no recycled material that degrades faster under thermal cycling
-
No metal ion contamination — isostatic pressing excludes contact with metal components
-
Extremely smooth, non-porous surface prevents particle entrapment and microbial growth
-
Anti-adhesive surface properties enable easy cleaning and maintenance
High Mechanical Integrity
-
Excellent resistance to thermal shock and mechanical stress
-
High creep resistance and dimensional stability under load
-
Superior abrasion and wear resistance
-
Full vacuum rating throughout the entire temperature range
Long Service Life
-
Seamless, fully fused lining means no delamination under thermal cycling
-
Predictable service life with minimal maintenance requirements
-
Reduces pipe replacement costs and processing downtime
Technical Specifications
Manufacturing Process
-
Material Selection — Only 100% virgin PTFE resin from certified suppliers is used
-
Steel Pipe Preparation — Carbon steel or stainless steel pipes are shot-blasted to Sa 2.5 cleanliness, pre-heated, and inner surface roughened for mechanical adhesion
-
Isostatic Pressing — PTFE powder is loaded into the pipe and placed in a high-pressure chamber. Uniform pressure (100–300 MPa) is applied from all directions, eliminating voids and ensuring homogeneous density
-
Sintering — The pipe is heated to approximately 380°C in a computer-controlled furnace following a precise sintering curve, fusing the PTFE into one continuous tube
-
Cooling & Finishing — Controlled cooling prevents stress cracks
-
Flaring — The PTFE at each end is heated and compressed against the pipe flange face to form a precision flared end
-
Quality Control — Each pipe undergoes spark testing (25 kV), hydrostatic testing (1.5x design pressure), ultrasonic thickness measurement (5+ points per meter), and visual inspection
